Student Life @ XLRI
Life at XL is a vibrant blend of class lectures, study sessions, management fests and competitive sports meets. The unique XL culture springs from its closely knit student community. An environment of caring and sharing is what makes this B school different. Despite a highly competitive spirit amongst students to excel academically, the atmosphere outside the classroom is one of great comradeship.
A fresher is greeted with warmth and is made a part of the student fraternity. Intense academic rigor and an incredible phenomenon called the XL culture together make up for a hectic yet heady concoction of work and play. As all programmes are residential, the seniors and juniors share an amicable relation. It is hence no surprise that XLRI has the most extensive alumni network among all Indian B schools. Teamwork is stressed throughout your tenure at XL. In fact, the environment of bitter rivalry among students that traditionally prevails in B schools has been removed through conscious efforts by the institute. Instead, an atmosphere of collaboration and cooperation has been carefully nurtured over the years and this makes XLers excellent team players and leaders in every organization that they become a part of.
In addition to this, XLRI lays great emphasis on ethics and on social responsibility. The institute is highly regarded in the corporate world for its efforts to instill these qualities in tomorrow’s business leaders.
Built into the curriculum are novel concepts like the Village Exposure Programme that develop social awareness by taking every student back to their roots. For an Xler there is something happening at XL all the time. There are conferences, seminars, guest lectures and workshops where a student is exposed to diverse views, and opinions of the greatest minds in the world of business. Yet, a good part of the XL life is much more than just academics. While the committee activities by the student body ensures your everyday life is much more than academics, there are also annual events that reiterate it. We have the annual management, cultural and sports fest Nova Exilaro , the marketing extravaganza MAXI fair and the northern brawl sports meet to name a few.
A student, irrespective of her/his stream, always finds an opportunity to explore their interests. Innovation is religion at XL and a little initiative can take you a long way. Student Facilities

1. Cafeteria – The campus features a 24×7 cafeteria that offers a wide range of dining options, from full meals to quick snacks. This ensures that students have access to nutritious food at any time of day.
2. The Daily Spot- Recently introduced, The Daily Spot is a new cafeteria on campus offering a diverse menu. This adds to the variety of dining options available, catering to different tastes and preferences.
3. Mess Facility – The campus mess is a fully air-conditioned dining facility that spans two floors, providing a comfortable environment for students to enjoy their meals. The mess serves a range of nutritious dishes, ensuring students have access to balanced meals throughout their stay.
4. XCEED Incubation Center – The XCEED incubation center is dedicated to students who aspire to be entrepreneurs. It offers resources, mentorship, and a collaborative environment, helping students to develop their business ideas and launch successful ventures.
5. XLD Store – The XLD Store is a general store located near the campus entrance and run by PGDMIEV students. It is well-stocked with essential items such as snacks, utensils, toiletries, laundry supplies, and stationery. The store frequently updates its inventory based on student feedback, ensuring that it meets the evolving needs of the campus community.
6. Hostel Facilities – The hostel accommodations are designed for comfort and convenience, with single-bedded, air-conditioned rooms that include essential furniture like a desk and chair, along with an attached balcony. The hostel is structured to provide privacy and comfort, with separate washroom areas for girls, boys, and common use on each floor. Each washroom is equipped with fully functioning washing machines. Although the hostel is co-ed, boys and girls are housed in different sections and on different floors, ensuring a respectful and comfortable living arrangement.
7, Grooming Services – The XLRI Delhi campus offers a comprehensive range of grooming services to ensure that students can maintain their personal appearance with ease and convenience. These services include haircuts, hair wash and blow-dry, styling, and head massages, catering to all grooming needs. Specialized treatments such as keratin therapies, smoothing, straightening, and rebonding are also available, alongside skin and beauty care services like facials, waxing, threading, manicures, and pedicures. These facilities enable students to manage their grooming needs without leaving the campus, enhancing both their confidence and comfort in academic and social settings.
8. Shuttle Service – XLRI Delhi NCR Campus provides a complimentary shuttle service for students on weekends, facilitating convenient travel between the campus and Gurgaon. This service is designed to make weekend commutes easier, ensuring students can access the city without the stress of transportation Operating at scheduled intervals, the shuttle offers a reliable and safe option for students to enjoy their weekends while staying connected to the campus.
9. Medical Care – XLRI Delhi NCR Campus is equipped with essential medical facilities to ensure the well-being of its students, faculty, and A qualified doctor is available on campus to address basic health concerns, such as fever and minor illnesses, and can provide
medications if necessary. In case of emergencies, the college has an ambulance service on standby, ready to transport individuals to Gurgaon for more comprehensive medical examination and treatment, ensuring prompt and effective care.
