The XLRI Adventure and Nature Club (XLANC) is one of the most active clubs on campus providing students with the much needed adrenaline rush to cope with our heavy academic schedule.

Our vision is to help students develop leadership skills and managerial acumen through outdoor activities. We help students develop spatial and environmental awareness along with textbook learning. We constantly strive to deliver new and innovative ways for student s t o relax and learn in sync with nature.

We provide the students with activities like Rifle Shooting, Archery, Horse riding and Wall Climbing to test their mettle. We organize variety of outings for students to places from Valley of Flowers in Uttarakhand to The Everest Base Camp in Nepal. We also organize star gazing nights where students can marvel at the beauty of the heavens and Nature Photogra phy workshops where they can capture the elegance of nature. The scope of our club is limitless and the world is our playground. All in all, we are the club which keeps the students sane and healthy to pursue excellence in every sphere for we strongly believe that a healthy body houses a healthy and productive mind.

Everest Base Camp Leadership Expedition – In the quest of higher peaks

George Elliot’s famous quote “Adventure is not outside a man, it is within” aptly sums up the fact that no matter where you are, the lust for the great outdoors never dies out. Perhaps this is why an academic hub, such as XLRI is widely known across the student brethren as an institute that encourages adventure activities. Like the previous year’s XLANC took initiative to organize the Everest Base Camp Trek where more than 100 trekkers from different B schools nationwide had the opportunity to experience the beauty of the Himalayas and the rigor of a long expedition.
